Today, one in eight children suffer with a mental health related illness. If not addressed by the age of 14, the chances of recovery are greatly reduced. Working with AXA and Liverpool FC Foundation, we decided to do something about this. Together, we kicked off the AXA Head Coaches initiative, training Liverpool FC Foundation staff as Youth Mental Health First Aid Champions, so they have a greater knowledge of common mental health issues and how they can affect the young people they work with.
